The free Wayback Walk app is built for public exploration. But when you are submitting a regeneration funding bid, drafting an impact report, or running a public consultation, a live app isn’t enough. You need a static, auditable, citable artifact. Commissioned evidence packs give local authorities, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) and heritage consultants verified visual baselines, backed by ONS context and strict methodological caveats.

What’s included in an evidence pack

Verified artifact link — a share pin with the THEN/NOW capture dates, panorama IDs and precise camera angle written into the URL, so auditors or committee members reopen exactly the comparison you cited. If Google ever retires a cited panorama, the substitution is stated in the record — never silent.
Insert-ready fact sheet — location data, the exact comparison window (e.g. “Jun 2009 → May 2023”), ONS local retail unit counts for the authority, and the government and council control context for that specific window only.
Methodology & caveat statement — crucial for public consultations. A clear statement that visual differences (camera generation, season, weather) are not economic evidence — separating your rigorous submission from anecdotal complaint.
Turnaround — standard delivery within two working days of an agreed brief.

Street View imagery remains © Google and is referenced with Google’s required attribution. The pack’s deliverable is the verification: dates, panorama IDs, official context and method — the parts an auditor asks about.

What we won’t do

The same rules as the public app: colour is not evidence, politics is context not causation, and archive gaps are stated honestly. Packs will not assert a “decline” or “revival” conclusion for you — they give your bid or report an inspectable factual baseline that survives scrutiny.
